I was thrilled to be asked to participate in this year’s Bordo Bello – Skateboard Art Fundraiser. The theme was open, so each artist could basically let their imagination run wild and do whatever you wanted with the skatedeck design.

That being said, I really wanted to do something that was “hands-on”, tactile and organic. I remember reading once about a technique for transferring ink and toner printouts to various surfaces, including wood. Turns out there are quite a few techniques you can use, but the one that yields the best results is an “Acrylic Transfer” utilizing Siliconized Acrylic Caulk.
